Marketing for PSOs

Many sponsors offer multiple sites to promote, this gives you lots of options for sites to promote on your site. A central concept is… what you are promoting should be similar to your blog. If your blog is about FemDom cartoon sites would may not be your best option. The space on your blog or site if valuable real estate and to promote sites that have small chance of converting is throwing away the real estate.

Many of the quality sponsors have lists and tell you what sites are top selling and what sites are top converting. They are not always the same… Converting is the percentage of surfers who buy when the click. Top selling are the sites that have the most overall sales. I believe that top converting is better information as a webmaster - if sites consistently convert for others it should convert for me

Links are the lifeblood of good SEO practices - Search Engines look at what sites are linking to you and raise your rankings if you have good sites linking to you. On many webmaster boards you can find people to trade with. You link to them and they link to you.

Or you can do a link trading called ABC - where you link to site A, site A links to site B and site B links to you.

No matter how you set up the links - many times you can arrange a trade and the person you are trading with is less than honest or just careless and they take the links down. To track each link by hand can become an impossible task so programmers came out with various options to track your trades. There are lots of Free ones - but I like Link Organizer BEST!! So you clicked Kinkydollars and signed up - now you are officially marketing an affiliate program!!

And now you are clicking around the site and overwhelmed!! Well take a deep breath!

Start by picking one site that you want to promote. Once you have chosen a site to promote you need the link codes to go to that site - the link code will send the customer to site you are promoting when the click on a banner or text link you have posted. Most sponsors have multiple pages to which you can send your traffic.

To find your code on Kinky Dollars click on Link Codes, then choose Default (we will review campaigns another times) and next step. Now choose your revenue plan (I prefer 50%/60%) and click next step. Then you will see all the sites listed and options for pages to send your customer to. Simply copy and paste the link code of your choice to a text link or banner image and you are off!

Pinging your blog pushes it higher and higher for SEO - the more you places you ping the more you get the word out!! Yes WP pings and you can add places to ping easily! You can always use your own link codes and get TAFs . Just use the static banners or make some of your own.. then use the link code for sending free three minutes. This way you get the $50 and the site gets traffic - You just dont get tracking like an affiliate program.

a few hints

• Make a separate account keeping TAF under that one so it is seperate from your regular buttons
• Make text links and use them all over. “click here for three free minutes of HOT phone sex”
• use something like openx to track your impressions vs traffic so you get some traffic data
• make your own “click here for three free minutes of HOT phone sex” banners/buttons and use them
• Send yourself a TAF free 3 minutes email and use that linking code - not call buttons.

Blogging can be a great marketing tool! But… can turn into a drudge when you get overwhelmed… I use Blog Organizer to this is a script that you install on your hosting server. With Blog Organizer you load you blog(s) into the system and enter all of your posts there.. You can post months worth of posts at a time, use the neat editor to easily adapt your posts and make them all nicey nicey! You can also use Blog Organizer to make/manage many blogs all in one spot! I use Blog Automator to feed my blogs - this is a script that you install on your hosting server. As in: www.yoursite.com/scripts/ba.php . Once installed you call up the script in your browser and enter a user name and password - you are now in! You can use Blog Automator to publish RSS feeds of your own blogs or RSS feeds that you pull from Sponsors sites - Blog Automator lets you control the feeds and morph them - this means change some words around so you wont appear to the Search Engines as having duplicate content!

Lots of you might ask why I am going this?

In 2008 part of my goals are to monetize my blog and sites better - make money from the traffic!!   I get great traffic to my blogs and cannot always be there to answer the phone - so advertising affiliates on my blog is a way to make some extra money!  There are many adult webmasters who just run blogs and link to affiliate programs  - when the reader of the blog clicks to the affiliate program and signs up or buys - the webmaster makes a commission.
